Review of Urban Asia at Gachibowli
We visited this restaurant for a team lunch during our client visit last month. I’ve been to Urban Asia at jubilee hills and loved the service there. Gachibowli branch also didn’t disappoint and definitely stood up to its rating on Zomato. Located in the busy street of Vinayak Nagar, Urban Asia provide a really good option for a mixture of Indian and Thai cuisine.
Ambiance
The ambiance of the restaurant is quite good. I would suggest you take a table near the window. The window side seating provides a good view, overlooking the DLF towers and the old Mumbai highway. The restaurant is well maintained and the seating too is quite comfortable. They also have a private cabin type of space, if you want some privacy.
Food
Unlike the jubilee hills branch, this branch is a mixture of Indian and Chinese cuisine. To be on the safer side, we opted for the buffet and I liked pretty much everything. They started with soup and a welcome drink. The veg soup was to die for. The soup was really yummy, do try it. Coming to starters we had crispy potato, harabhara kabab, corn cubes, paneer Angara. Out of all these corn cubes was really awesome, others were average in taste. Before the main course, we also tried chole kulcha, which too was just above average.
Main course
The main course didn’t have many options. I took Paneer tikka masala, mixed vegetable, Thai red curry, and veg biryani. The biryani was average in taste. But, Paneer tikka masala and mix veg was yummy.
Desserts
in the desserts section had 4-5 items. Cupcake, pastry, and Phirni. I would recommend you to try their phirni, it was really awesome. Well, overall it was a really good experience. The restaurant is also available on zomato gold, whereby you can enjoy a 1-1 offer on food.
